Mr Jesus Flores III

PE Teacher/Coach

I am happy to introduce myself as a new Physical Education Teacher. I graduated from Centro Escolar University with a degree in Tourism management and I am a former professional coach/athlete in the Philippines.

Along my journey I realized that coaching and teaching is my passion, because I am sports minded and I want to share my knowledge to the young generation who as well share the same passion which is sports. That is why I took up Education Degree so that I can continue teaching and sharing my knowledge to the youngsters.

I was in full scholarship athlete since primary school up to college. During my primary and secondary school, I was a varsity player of swimming, basketball, volleyball and track & field. Throughout my sports career in school, I competed to the one of the highest level of inter school competition in the Philippines which is NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).

I have coached athletes from ages 4 up to professional level. I started about 7 years ago at the age of 24, I have coached students one on one, as well as teams. During my coaching year in St. Jude Catholic High school, I have achieved a lot and some of the memorable achievements are 3-peat champion of primary and back to back champion of secondary on basketball league and I am proud to say that it is one of a lifetime history that happened in that school.

Last 2017 I decided to continue my career here in Bangkok, Thailand and luckily, I got my first job at Let’s Asia which is the largest swimming school in Thailand. I was able to teach swimming from toddlers up to adult. And last year, I got an opportunity to work at Anglo Singapore International School as a PE Teacher, Basketball Coach and Swimming Coach.

During my free time I like to watch in YouTube about different techniques of swimming and basketball so that I will be able to gain new knowledge and apply it in teaching to my students because I believe that every day is a learning process. I am also playing basketball and swimming with my collogues during free time and lastly I love watching series in Netflix.

As a Teacher/Coach, I firmly believe that all players are capable and carry their own unique skills to compete. I like to focus on my players weaknesses and help turn them into a strength. I also believe communication is key and I do my best to be aware of who my players are. What works for one might not work for another so I try to use the right communication in finding ways to motivate my players. Teamwork is the key.

Mr Barthelemey Ramona

Mr Wang Zhen

Primary Chinese Teacher

My name is Wang Zhen and I am a native Chinese teacher. I graduated from Harbin Normal University in 2009 with a major in English Education. After graduation, I obtained a Certificate in Advanced English Teacher. During the school, I also obtained the first-class certificate of Chinese mandarin, and the certificate of professional English level 8. From 2010 to 2012, I was sent by National Chinese Promotion Group to the Catholic University of Santa Maria in Peru to study Spanish and teach Mandarin in Spanish. During my life in Peru, I received the Intermediate Spanish Training Certificate issued by the University and the Teacher Volunteer Certificate issued by the Confucius Institute. In 2013, I came to Bangkok, Thailand to teach Mandarin Chinese at various training institutions and schools. I can teach Mandarin Chinese in Spanish, English and Thai, and my second foreign language is Japanese, so I can also speak some basic Japanese. 2010-2019, from Peru to Thailand I have been teaching Mandarin for nearly ten years. I can say that I am an experienced teacher. I chose to come to RBIS to teach because RBIS is a very good school. The ratio of teachers to students is 1:6, which can take care of the learning situation of each student. The location of the school is located in the downtown area and the traffic is very good.

Ms FuJia Xu (Echo)

Secondary Chinese Teacher

I am a Chinese teacher who has a passion for teaching Chinese language and share Chinese culture. I graduated from southwest university in China and get my Bachelor degree, and then I taught the Chinese language in a primary school for 3 years. Although this is the first time work in international school, I am extremely comfortable in my classroom with all the students. I really want to tell students more things about Chinese, and make them more interested in China.

I really enjoy the learning atmosphere in RBIS, when the first time I arrived there. It is easy to find that, in our school, instead of teaching student knowledge in their books, all the teachers and staffs are willing to encourage innovative and engaging classroom. I feel happy and enjoyable to be teaching at RBIS, because when I teaching and telling students something, it always inspires me. As ancient Chinese words say, teaching benefits teachers as well as students.

Not only is it a privilege to work amongst the dynamic learning community at our school but also an honor to be surrounded by fun, enthusiastic, honest and genuinely curious students.
